Happy Holidays from Artemis Environmental!
2024 was a big year for BIG projects! Artemis is so grateful to have worked on large projects this year such as the Cal City Substation Upgrade Project, Rio Sol Transmission Line, and SCE ELM Cathodic Protection Project to name a few of the more than 30 new projects we supported this year! We continue to be so proud of the work we do, the people we team with, and the relationships we’ve built over the years. And if things weren’t big enough this year, we also added someone new to the family, literally! You may have noticed Tara out for a few months on maternity leave earlier this year to spend time with her new daughter, Willow Jean Rose, born in June 2024. The ability to take that time and return with such incredible flexibility is truly a blessing for working at Artemis. That work-life balance is a perk that Jasmine is also grateful for, as she has found time this year to enjoy family adventures on local trails with e-bikes and introduce her sweet dog to new experiences (like snow!). When she’s not managing projects or conducting field surveys, she’s making the most of her outdoor adventures. This year Stephanie has enjoyed managing some of our larger and long-term biological projects where she has developed a deep appreciation for our field teams who tough out the extended days in remote locations away from home life. Some of her time away from work this year was spent with family in Northern CA, including Lake Tahoe which is always a family (and pet) favorite! And speaking of those working in the field in remote locations, Kyle continues to grow exponentially each year with his field experience and expertise. But despite his years of field experience, each year he manages to have plenty of “firsts”, which this year included mapping burrowing owls, finding an active California gnatcatcher nest, a yearling desert tortoise on a site, and numerous arroyo toad and least Bell’s vireo observations. We can’t wait to see what Kyle’s “firsts” will be for next year. As for Julie, she is immensely grateful for the support of her amazing team of project managers and biologists, allowing her to step away from technical work to focus more on managing the company and winning new work. She was also able to take some much-needed post-COVID vacations to Japan and Europe with her family. On the note of winning new work, Artemis garnered eight new clients, including NV5, Mott MacDonald, RICK Engineering, KMEA, the Office of San Diego City Attorney, and several other private landowners. Many come to us through word of mouth from existing clients and colleagues, so we are truly grateful for your continued confidence in our work!
Thank you for your support this year!
