Artemis Spotlight: Tara Baxter

Photo of Tara

“Without Tara, there would be no cohesive image of Artemis, both externally to the public and internally for ourselves to be a team of successful and healthy moms.”

– Julie Ogilvie, President

Although Tara joined Artemis as a full-time employee one year ago, she had been working for Artemis as an independent biologist since 2016! Tara’s professionalism and attention to detail made her an essential asset to our team and we couldn’t have been happier than when she joined us!

The opportunity to collaborate with other women in a women-owned company offered excitement and aligned well with Tara’s desire to help grow a small business. An added bonus was the prospect of building and expanding her career to compliment her impressive skills in the field by adding new office skills and project management experience that she otherwise wouldn’t have been exposed to as an independent biologist. Have you checked out our website lately? Thanks to Tara, our website features a whole new layout with eye-catching images, project highlights, introductions to all of our current teaming partners, and so much more! We are very proud of this huge milestone that Tara achieved this past year. She brings added value to Artemis with her natural knack for marketing.

Tara has recently embraced the challenges of coordinating and managing larger projects in the Southwest, including the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP) and Ten West Link Project. With birds capturing Tara’s primary biology interests, adding to her list of permits for federally listed bird species surveys is a personal goal Artemis will support her in achieving.

Happy Anniversary Tara, we couldn’t imagine this past year without you on our team and we are looking forward to many more to come!
