“…with support from family and friends, and then personally hitting it off with Julie when we first met… it just felt right!”
– Jasmine
All of us at Artemis are so incredibly grateful to have Jasmine on our team, not only as a colleague, but also as a friend and mentor. It is hard to believe it has already been a year with Jasmine at Artemis, and even harder to believe what life would have been like this year without her!
Looking for a change and an opportunity to really spread her wings (an apt analogy for Jasmine, as butterflies are her absolute favorite), Jasmine found her way to Artemis. Luckily, her and Julie hit it off on their first meeting, and Jasmine’s family and friends fully supported her to make the change. And a change it has been! Joining a small company with three other working moms of small children allowed Jasmine the flexibility and work/life balance at home she was craving, and the support and collaboration in the workspace she enjoys so much. With Jasmine’s bright and cheery personality, she has gone straight to work building many new professional relationships, and even rekindling some old ones. At Artemis, the doors have been open for her to really highlight her expansive skillset too, and to explore and develop her skills in whichever direction she chooses. One of her biggest milestones of the year was to develop her own wetland delineation skills after years of assisting others—leading delineations are a new skill she has had the opportunity to put to use countless times by now.
Jasmine is so passionate about what she does, and that passion has contributed so much to Artemis’ growth and successes this past year. The sky is the limit for what the next year may bring for Jasmine, and if she has it her way, it will include a lot of habitat conservation and the field surveys she loves doing so much that inspire her and allow her to enjoy the simple things, like a breath of fresh air and beautiful scenery.
Happy Anniversary Jasmine, it has been a great year with you and we are looking forward to many more to come!
